The Town of Gate City, Virginia, Department of Public Works is accepting applications to fill up to two Laborer positions. This is a part-time seasonal position. We are looking for a team player that has the ability to work in a professional, fast paced, customer orientated environment. Job responsibilities include a variety of routine semi-skilled duties involving weed eating and ground maintenance. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, must be in excellent physical condition and work in a variety of weather conditions. Preference given for knowledge of landscaping, tree trimming/mowing experience, 2-cycle engines, and other industrial mowing equipment. Successful applicant for this position will be subject to a DMV Motor Vehicle check and must complete a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour.
