by | May 5, 2016 | Press Releases | 0 comments

GATE CITY, Va. – The Town of Gate City wants to alert drivers to the traffic impacts associated with the repair of Clyde Williams Bridge located on Clyde Williams Avenue behind Pizza Plus off of Kane Street.  The bridge will close on May 5, 2016 and will remain closed until repairs are made.

A recent bridge inspection has determined that the bridge is unsafe for vehicular traffic.  The Town is currently working with Mattern & Craig’s structural engineers to develop plans to repair bridge.

The Town recognizes the inconvenience this will cause to the affected residents.  The Town of Gate City is committed to the safety of our residents and will be working as quickly as possible to resolve this issue.
